Spring Training

Feb. 28-March 30

Get ready for bats to crack, bases to be stolen, and fans to cheer as Major League Baseball’s Grapefruit League games return to the area. The Baltimore Orioles play their first home game Sunday at Ed Smith Stadium, with the Pittsburgh Pirates at home at LECOM Park in Bradenton and the Atlanta Braves at North Port’s CoolToday Park starting March 2. Of course, special Covid-19 protocols are in place, but there’s still nothing to beat baseball in the spring. Check out the schedules at mlb.com.

World Golf Championships Workday Championship

Yep, it was moved from Mexico due to the pandemic, and while there will be no general admission spectators allowed to watch defending champ Patrick Reed and 70-plus other golfers compete, you can catch them—and our area—in the spotlight on NBC, the Golf Channel and PGA TourLive. Learn more at worldgolfchampionships.com.

The Sarasota Ballet Digital Program 5
