Magazine Association Charlie Awards are named for Charles G. Welborn, Jr., a
well-known and much-admired professor of Journalism and Communications at the
University of
Florida. More than 840
entries in 75 categories were part of this year’s competition, and were
critiqued by a panel of 25 judges, all top professionals from outside Florida.
