Six Sarasota athletes competed at the 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Here's how they did.

Emma Weyant, from the Sarasota Sharks, won a silver medal for the women’s 400-meter swim finals on July 24.

Clark Dean placed fifth in the men's coxless four event, with a time of 5:48.85.

Jake Ilardi ranked 11th in his men’s street skateboarding competition and did not qualify for finals.

Mary Tucker placed second in the mixed team 10-meter air rifle, winning a silver medal.

Sisters Jessica and Nelly Korda competed in women's individual stroke golf, which started on Aug. 4. Jessica ranked 15th and did not medal. Nelly ranked first, winning a gold medal for team USA.
