This year more than ever, we need the hope and hard work of these women and men. Their tenacity and passion are rare, and we’ve wondered if being a committed citizen and caring for strangers are part of a special DNA. Instead of building walls, they are building bridges, empowering people of every color, religion, gender, social class and age. And, significantly, they have done this without the need for acknowledgment. Indeed, many of them were surprised for being acknowledged for what comes naturally. We also thank our 2021 Unity Award judges Brock Leach, Vickie Oldham and Hector Tejeda. Join us in celebrating our 2021 Unity Award winners.
