The Charity Register 2006-2007

By staff September 1, 2006

This register is an introduction to many of the remarkable local nonprofit organizations that feed, clothes and heal the needy, support our environment and inspire our cultural awareness.

All of the organizations on this list are nonprofits, but it takes more than nonprofit status to be included. We limit our register to locally headquartered nonprofits that serve the Sarasota area and are supported by at least one public fund-raising event. Please bring omissions to our attention so that they may be added to our database. If you’d like a copy of our standards, or would like to make a comment or suggestion, please contact Hannah Wallace at SARASOTA Magazine, 330 S. Pineapple Ave., Suite 205, Sarasota 34236, or e-mail her at [email protected].
