Painter Cecile Moran’s work uses brightly colored and layered images to tell a story—often one relating to the environment and the energy that she believes connects all living things. Moran, who frequently exhibits at Art Uptown Gallery on Main Street (including through July 2), says, “Life-giving powers are represented by the plants and trees that provide the air we breathe.” A teacher as well as an artist, she’ll also have a one-person show at Unity Church in October.
