Sarasota Magazine’s annual listing of local nonprofits highlights a selection of local nonprofits that aid the needy, comfort the infirm, guide our youth, expand our minds and lift our spirits. These listings are a testament to the thousands of inspiring people dedicated to serving the community.
This year, we’ve grouped the listings into categories for easier navigation. If you’re interested in giving your support to nonprofits in the fields of health, education, human services, the environment and animals, international aid, religion or public service, you’ll find many worthy causes here.
Each organization in our Charity Register holds a 501(c)(3) designation and is locally headquartered. Additionally, most hold fund raisers that are open to the public. (We list many of those events in these pages; for complete, up-to-the-minute calendar listings, visit us at sarasotamagazine.com.) These organizations cannot continue their good work without contributions of time, money and energy; we hope you find a way to join in their efforts as you discover their aims and their needs.
