It’s  fitting that Italian furniture house Moroso chose Le Palais de Tokyo as the setting for its reproduction Big Easy chairs by Ron Arad, shown here in stark white injection-molded polyurethane foam. Created in 2002 as Paris’s anti-museum and expanded to 236,000 square feet in 2012, Le Palais is one of the largest sites devoted to contemporary creativity in Europe. It’s intended to reconcile the City of Light with contemporary art, just as Israeli-born Arad has reconciled design and art with limited-edition pieces commanding up to six figures at auction.
