The After After Party

The Best Late Night Restaurants in Sarasota

Night owls, take note.

By Lauren Jackson September 4, 2025

It's no secret that Sarasota isn't known for its all-hours, raucous nightlife, but while we may not be Miami (by design), that doesn't mean you should go hungry after a late night out. We've rounded up our favorite spots that serve food until midnight or later, so you don't have to drive to Denny's.

Open until 2 a.m.

The Mable

2831 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, (941) 487-7373, themablebar.com

The food at The Mable is fantastic, but the prices are even better—and that’s saying a lot. For $5.95, you can sop up the evening’s festivities with a foot-long hot dog. Add $2 and the bar will cover it in chili and cheese. If you’ve got the energy and the appetite, pair that dog with some truffled tater tots, and by morning you’ll be saying, “What hangover?”

Open until 2 a.m.

Brewster's Gastropub

1454 Main St., Sarasota, (941) 343-2380, brewsterstavern.com

Rub elbows with Sarasota service industry elites at Brewster’s, where bar food with a twist attracts even the most distinguished restaurant workers' palates. Weary and hungry after a long night of working (or maybe partying, or maybe both), servers, bartenders, hosts and bussers flock here for “pickleback tenders,” ultra-flavorful chicken tenders marinated in pickle juice.

Open until 3 a.m.

Munchies 420 Café

6639 Superior Ave., Sarasota, (941) 929-9893

Famous for its “Fire in the Hole” wings (we dare you to make it through just one), Munchies 420 is open outrageously late—until 3 a.m., to be exact. If you’re having the kind of night that calls for a hoagie bun filled with cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, and topped with macaroni and cheese, Munchie's is the place to be.

Open until midnight Tuesday-Saturday

Tamiami Tap

711 S. Osprey Ave., Sarasota, (941) 500-3182, tamiamitap.com

Conveniently located on the outskirts of downtown Sarasota, Tamiami Tap remains celebratory well into the night. It’s hard to put a finger on what makes this place so great—maybe it’s the nightly live music or the awesome craft beer selection, although we suspect it might also be the epic nachos that can fill up a crowd of hungry party heroes.

Open until 1 a.m. on weekdays, 2 a.m. on weekends

Origin Craft Beer & Pizza Café

Multiple locations, Sarasota, originpizzacafe.com

We all love the pizza at Origin Pizza (it’s in the name, after all), but we come specifically for the wings. Dry-rubbed and roasted, the wings are not only juicy, they are enormous and lend themselves to the age-old debate over whether to dip them in ranch or blue cheese. This local chain has five locations, but the Hillview and University Town Center spots stay open late.

Open until MIDNIGHT

Cask & Ale

1548 Main St., Sarasota, (941) 702-8740, caskalesrq.com

Do you want onion rings at midnight? We do. In fact, we want onion rings, Philly cheesesteak flatbread, a cheeseburger, a Cuban sandwich and, obviously, doughnut holes, all of which are served until the bar closes at Cask & Ale. Enjoy that smorgasbord with a side of live entertainment, and you’re guaranteed a good time.

Open until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays

Selva Downtown Sarasota

1345 Main St., Sarasota, (941) 362-4427, selvagrill.com

Responsible for kicking off Sarasota’s long running love affair with Peruvian food, downtown’ Sarasota's Selva boasts one of the area’s coolest environments: a dim dining room pulsing with colorful lights, and a lush lounge with one of the best late-night weekend happy hour menus in town. The menu is stuffed with satisfying bites like ceviche, a juicy skirt steak and a shockingly good Caesar salad with crispy plantains and manchego cheese. (There’s also a Selva location at University Town Center, but it closes earlier.)

Open until 2 a.m.

Evie's Tavern on Main Street

1560 Main St., Sarasota, (941) 366-7711, eviesonline.com

Evie’s Tavern on Main Street has it all—including breakfast served all day, if that’s your thing. The bar has tons of televisions, so you'll never miss a game or an after-hours replay. Drinks are always flowing, and daily food specials set this place apart. Don’t miss $6 burgers on Thursday nights.

Open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays

Jack Dusty at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota

1111 Ritz Carlton Drive, Sarasota, (941) 309-2266, ritzcarlton.com

Way back in the aughts, The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, was a premier late-night locale where the glitterati would sip orchid-decorated Siren cocktails while bobbing their heads to whichever local DJ had set up for the evening. After the downstairs restaurant rebranded to Jack Dusty in 2013, those late-night traditions faded—until this year, when they’re back on Fridays and Saturdays. Now serving a special menu until midnight, Jack Dusty puts a spin on late-night that you could only expect to find at the Ritz, like wagyu beef sliders and crab-topped fried green tomatoes.

Spicy Ramen at Sushi Ramen.

Spicy Ramen at Sushi Ramen.

Open until 2 a.m.

Sushi Ramen

935 N. Beneva Road, Sarasota, (941) 702-8360, sushiramenlatenight.com

The ramen at Sushi Ramen is solid at any hour, but especially late at night. Although not traditional hangover prevention food, ramen’s salty, rich broth paired with plenty of carby noodles is a great way to get yourself straight after a night of partying, or to avoid the whole debacle if enjoyed before bed. Sushi Ramen’s spicy ramen will light your mouth on fire—wash it down with sake before stepping up to belt out your favorite karaoke in a room full of fellow happy bellies.

Open until 1 a.m.

Food + Beer

Multiple locations, eatfooddrinkbeer.com

The first restaurant of the chain’s five locations began as a way to serve our sleepy service industry employees a hearty meal late at night. Each location carries on that mission and is open until the wee hours in Gulf Gate, North Sarasota, Bradenton, downtown Sarasota and Venice. The menu is eclectic and everything is great, especially late at night. You could eat clean with a seared salmon rice bowl or hefty salad, if you want, but let's be real: you'll really want to grab a heaping helping of Buffalo chicken mac 'n' cheese or a super spicy Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich.

The Gecko's burger, served late on Hillview Street.

Open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays

Gecko's Grill & Pub on Hillview Street

1900 Hillview St., Sarasota, (941) 953-2929, geckosgrill.com

Homegrown chain Gecko’s is staying up late with the big kids, offering food until midnight on the weekends alongside an extensive late-night happy hour drink menu, exclusive to its Hillview Street location. Try a burger or wings, and whatever you do, don’t miss the signature blue cheese chips.

Open until midnight

Hong BBQ & Hot Pot

445 Cortez Road, Bradenton, (941) 213-9972, honghotpot.com

Korean barbecue and Chinese hot pot are wonderful any time of day, but real aficionados know it's all about the late-night vibe. Gather as many friends as you can to dip, slurp and grill at Hong BBQ & Hot Pot in Bradenton. This spot is all-you-can-eat, so bring your appetite, too.
