The Best Late Night Restaurants in Sarasota

Night owls, take note.

The Mable

2831 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, (941) 487-7373, themablebar.com

The food at The Mable  is delicious, and the prices are even better. For $4.95, you can sop up the evening's festivities with a foot-long hot dog. Add $2 and the bar will even cover it in chili and cheese for you. Pair it with some truffled tater tots and by morning you'll be saying, "What hangover?" Open until 2 a.m.

Brewsters Tavern

1454 Main St., Sarasota, (941) 343-2380, brewsterstavern.com

Rub elbows with Sarasota's service industry pros at Brewster's. The restaurant offers traditional bar food with a twist that makes for a filling end to a long night of working or partying. We love the "pickleback tenders," marinated in pickle juice for an ultra-flavorful chicken experience. Open until 2 a.m.

Munchie's 420 Café

6639 Superior Ave., Sarasota, (941) 929-9893

Famous for their "Fire in the Hole" wings (we dare you to try just one), Munchies 420 is open outrageously late—until 4:20 a.m., to be exact. If you're having the kind of night that calls for a hoagie bun filled with cheeseburgers, chicken tenders and topped with macaroni and cheese, Munchies is the place to be. Open until 4:20 a.m.

Tamiami Tap

711 S. Osprey Ave., Sarasota, (941) 500-3182, tamiamitap.com

Conveniently located on the outskirts of downtown Sarasota, Tamiami Tap is always a party. It's hard to decide what makes this place so great. Maybe it's the nightly live music or the awesome craft beer selection. We suspect it might be the epic nachos. Open until 2 a.m. Thursday-Saturday

Origin Craft Beer & Pizza Café

Multiple locations, Sarasota, originpizzacafe.com

The pizza at Origin is fantastic, but we come specifically for the wings. Dry-rubbed and roasted, the wings are not only juicy; they are enormous. With three great locations and a kitchen open until 1:40 a.m. on the weekends, we're in love. Open until 1 a.m. on weekdays and 2 a.m. on weekends.

Evie's Tavern on Main Street

1560 Main St., Sarasota, (941) 366-7711, eviesonline.com

Evie's Tavern on Main Street has it all, including breakfast served all day. The bar also has tons of televisions so you will never miss a game. The drinks are always flowing and the daily specials set this place apart. Don't miss $6 burgers on Thursday nights. Open until 2 a.m.

Spicy Ramen at Sushi Ramen.

Spicy Ramen at Sushi Ramen.

Sushi Ramen

935 N. Beneva Road, Sarasota, (941) 702-8360, sushiramenlatenight.com

The ramen at Sushi Ramen is good at any hour, but especially late at night. There is something special about the spicy ramen, which will light your mouth on fire and set your heart ablaze. Wash it down with sake before stepping up to sing karaoke in a room full of happy bellies. Open until 1:45 a.m.

Food + Beer

Multiple locations, eatfooddrinkbeer.com

Consistency is key at Food + Beer. The restaurants are all conveniently located with spots in Gulf Gate, North Sarasota, and Bradenton. The menu is eclectic and everything tastes fantastic, especially late at night. We love the "Chi-Town corn dog," evoking all the flavors of a Chicago hot dog but fried. The restaurant also has great salads and "bowls" for a healthy-ish way to end the evening. Open until 1 a.m.

The Gecko's burger, served late on Hillview Street.

Gecko's Grill & Pub on Hillview Street

1900 Hillview St., Sarasota, (941) 953-2929, geckosgrill.com

Gecko's on Hillview is keeping up with the big kids, offering food until midnight on the weekends alongside an extensive late-night happy hour drink menu. Try a burger or wings, and whatever you do, don't miss the signature blue cheese chips. Open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

Hong BBQ & Hot Pot

445 Cortez Road, Bradenton, (941) 213-9972, honghotpot.com

Korean barbecue and Chinese hot pot are wonderful any time of day, but real aficionados know it's all about the late-night vibe. Gather as many friends as you can to dip, slurp and grill at Hong BBQ & Hot Pot in Bradenton. This spot is all-you-can-eat, so bring your appetite, too. Open until midnight.
