The First Watch® Sarasota Half Marathon and Relay, produced by Life Time – The Healthy Way of Life Company, is returning for its 10th year on March 15, 2015. More than 4,500 people of all ages and abilities are expected to participate in this Sarasota tradition including runners and walkers, as the course is open for four hours to accommodate those who prefer to walk (18 minute/mile pace). The First Watch Sarasota Half Marathon & Relay is one of the premiere running events in West Florida, and one in which runners from across the country travel to be a part of. The First Watch Sarasota Half Marathon and Relay is home to the unique “Finish-Together” Relay, in which participants will join up and cross the finish line together. Both the marathon and relay courses feature a scenic route over the John Ringling Causeway to St. Armand’s turnaround.
 
Participants in The First Watch Sarasota Half Marathon and Relay receive the largest finisher medal in Florida – a signature, oversized Dolphin medal – and will celebrate their achievement at a Post Race Party including gourmet breakfast items and live entertainment, sponsored by First Watch Restaurants.
 
The event is also the last in the Florida Storm Series, which challenges runners to participate in three to five events in Florida during the 2014/2015 season, including:
