The brains behind Jemma Wynne Jewelry shares her genius accessorizing tips.

Covet Dia Bangles-HRI’ll be the first to admit that my no fail, lazy-girl styling trick is to reach for my fave accessories: High impact, low effort. Case in point: The duality of the Jemma Wynne collection – the pieces are made to mix and layer perfectly, yet are powerful enough to be worn alone; whether you gravitate toward their ever-evolving lines from season to season or if you prefer something special, like a one-of-a-kind piece. I especially love how Jemma Wynne defines its design aesthetic as the “cashmere hoodie of jewelry for women…rich but comfortable.”  You get exactly who the brand designs for – the modern femme.

And that’s a hint at why jewelry couturier Liebe Gamble chose to partner with Jemma Wynne at June Simmons Jewelry at The Met. You’ll find the collection there year ‘round, but don’t miss the chance for a first-look at the luxe spring designs at the upcoming trunk show January 30 and 31 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more info, call (941) 321-1737.

I caught up with Jemma Wynne’s Stephanie Wynne Lalin and Jenny Klatt to find out more about the Jemma Wynne line and get their genius tips on accessorizing and more.

JS_JEMMA2The Jemma Wynne brand is making a name for itself in the industry – how would you describe the Jemma Wynne signature piece and style?

Our signature piece is definitely the bangle, as it exudes the effortless casual luxury we have become known for. Also, since it’s stackable, it is really amazing to be able to constantly evolve your personal collection of bangles…and the fact that no two people’s stacks are the same just adds to the unique nature of the look.

What’s the Jemma Wynne secret to projecting a youthful look, regardless of age?

Layering in a casual, yet chic and sophisticated manner is the best way to look young and fashion-forward. In the same way that women can mix and layer clothing, Jemma Wynne achieves that effortless look with stackable and collectable jewelry.

What materials and designs are the creative team obsessing over at the moment?

We are currently loving more angular and modern shapes, moving in an Art Deco direction.  Oh, and diamonds–lots and lots of diamonds.

Jemma Wynne Emerald CollarThe average Sarasota femme is no stranger to a black tie event – what’s one fail-proof tip to modernize an evening look?

Don’t take your jewelry too seriously…wear playful jewelry, like a stack of colorful bangles with a statement earring. There is no better way to look stuffy at a formal event than wearing a basic black gown and a Riviera necklace.

Speaking of styling, if you were to style your own editorial, what shoes and handbag would you pair your gems with?

We are huge proponents of the impact of casual luxury, and it definitely comes through in our designs. An editorial featuring a stack of gorgeous bangles or a one-of-a-kind rose-cut diamond necklace is the perfect way to update a Vince cashmere sweater and some JBrand jeans. Add some Isabel Marant booties and an Hermes Constance bag and you’re good!

Opal Diamond Bangles- HRWho’s the Jemma Wynne dream celebrity you’d choose to don your jewelry on the Oscars red carpet? Cate Blanchett would be a definite dream celeb to wear the collection. She is always the most well dressed, yet relaxed, woman on the red carpet, making her the epitome of effortless luxury, which is what Jemma Wynne has become known for.

Jemma Wynne Diamond COllarGive us a heads up for the upcoming trunk show at June Simmons at The Met – what are the not-to-be-missed pieces?

This season at June Simmons clients will find that Jemma Wynne has expanded on the ‘open’ style, made famous by our bangles, by creating open collar necklaces featuring step cut diamonds and emeralds. A must for the black-tie circuit in Sarasota!
