New affordable activity: Create your own outdoor photo booth!
By Hannah Wallace
Here’s something to while away a social outing: Grab a digital camera with a decent-size memory and start clicking. It’s like photo booth fun: a series of shots taken in a short period of time really capture a mood. (And usually that mood is "hysteria.") Check out our impromptu candid photo shoot bayside at O’Leary’s on Tuesday.
See, I’m always guilty of trying too hard. Usually, these are the kinds of shots I go for:
Pretty, but I’ve got a camera full.
Or there’s the "Here we are" pose–often poorly lit; frequently unflattering:
Fortunately, after a few clicks, there can be no more seriousness. As you can see.
Copy Editor (Emer.) Megan and I descend into giggles…
…try to keep our eyes open…
….lose it entirely….
…and (whew) need some time to recover.
CCB attempts to keep his streak of not smiling for pictures alive…
And then even when we try to pose, it’s still not quite earnest…
Copy Editor Megan: "This shot totally captures our friendship."
"…this one, too."
All right, no more silliness.
Until next time, folks. Have a good weekend!
