Did you know that Sarasota was once known as the Circus City? The Circus Hall of Fame museum opened in 1956, with seven buildings exhibiting costumes, props, and other artifacts that made our circus unlike any other. The circus held multiple performances most days until the Hall of Fame’s closing in 1977.
