In the last four months, MacKenzie Scott—philanthropist, writer and ex-wife to Amazon chief executive officer Jeff Bezos—has donated more than $4 billion to national nonprofits. That list of nonprofits includes Goodwill Manasota, which will receive $10 million. The funds will help the organization continue to provide career opportunities and essential services to Sarasota and Manatee counties. Scott has donated to 384 national organizations after considering nearly 6,500. Other local organizations to receive funding include United Way Suncoast, Easterseals Southwest Florida and Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee—all community partners of Goodwill Manasota.
