Jackie Cully creates another beautiful design on silk. Her African-inspired motifs have graced the labels of Liz Claiborne, Bill Blass and Oscar de le Renta. Self-taught artist Dolores Parker has found a way to incorporate the look into her trendy bags that are almost too beautiful to drop your lipstick into. This one bears the signature pineapple design and bamboo handle that distinguishes the hot West Indies craze. You'll find her bags at The Met and Ritz-Carlton for about $180. Pamela Marwede sits swathed in the colorful fabrics that have become her calling card. Her drapes, table linens, pillows and floor cloths are generally custom designed for individual projects, but you can purchase some of her goods at Garden Argosy on St. Armands Circle and Imagery Fine Crafts Gallery on Fifth Street.

Sixty-five-year-old artist Barbara Frey takes her artistic cues from nature, using botanical and natural materials to print on silk and cotton fabrics.
