Spotted at: YMCA's "Going for the Gold"

What are you wearing? A go-anywhere stretch cotton dress by Tommy Hilfiger. I rolled the straps for a semi-formal effect and stepped it up with my grandmother's antique brooch, heirloom earrings and strappy sandals by Laundry. How would you describe your style? I love feminine, long skirts and dresses, but I also like hip-slung jeans with a tailored top and a metallic belt. Even for a day at the beach, I'd wear a cute cover-up with jewelry and carry a big bag. I really like a finished look. How do you update your look? When I find a look I like, I scour the racks at Marshall's for something similar and then make it into something that works for me. I might take some cute jeans and cut them off to make capri pants and then personalize them with beadwork. Do you have a style icon? I love voluptuous women like Marilyn Monroe. She wore styles that accentuate the body, but in a classic, elegant way. She was very comfortable in her skin. I hear you act. I have a degree in musical theater and I spent the last seven years touring in L.A. and overseas. I moved to Sarasota to do a play [at Florida Studio Theatre]. How do you stay in shape? I work out at the Y every day. And I run the Ringling Bridge three or four times a week. Any special products you use? I love Cetaphyl cleanser, Dr. Hauschka Rose Day Cream and Cream De La Mer. What do you like about Sarasota? I love the beaches, the restaurants, the way the city embraces art. I see kids here flourishing with all the opportunities Sarasota has to offer. It's really wonderful.
