Fashion Statement—Leslie Lauritano
What are you wearing?
A dress by Nicole Miller from MetroMix, a handbag by Beau Monde, jewelry by Nikki Sedacca and shoes from Nine West.
How did you choose your dress?
I used a stylist, Jackie Rogers from [local image consulting company] Style Matters. I wanted to fit the Moroccan theme of the event, and she did a great job picking pieces for me. I feel like a princess.
Where do you shop?
I love Banana Republic, Macy’s and Dillard’s, and when I’m in Tampa I always go to Bebe—I wish we had one here!
Do you have a signature style?
I like to combine trendy and classic pieces. When I shop, I like to get something new and fun that I can mix with pieces I already have.
What kind of skincare products do you use?
I use SanRe Organic Skin Food, a line that’s made locally. I buy the products through Sandra Charbonneau—her mom makes them in a lab here. They’re fabulous—all-natural and not tested on animals. For this event, I got my makeup done by the girls at Mac in Southgate.
What wouldn’t you be caught dead in?
I would never wear something 100 percent polyester. It’s too uncomfortable and hot. I’d also never wear high-waisted “mommy” jeans!
What are your favorite things to do in Sarasota?
When I’m not working [as senior mortgage lending officer for Regions Bank] I love walking and I do a lot of it—it’s wonderful to be able to walk on the beach, around St. Armands Circle or through my neighborhood. And I like riding my bike, too, and generally being outdoors, especially with my friends and family.
