What are you wearing? I’m not a wearer of white, but Sean at Sacino’s showed me a couple of options and we came up with the outfit. The blue shirt was an opening-night gift for one of my shows, and it was my way of making the outfit my own.

Where do you shop? My first stop is usually Macy’s, then Gap and Banana Republic.

What’s your grooming ritual? My haircuts are from Soho Hair Gallery. I do some moisturizing here and there, but I don’t swear by anything.

Who do you look to for style inspiration? I watch all the awards ceremonies, and when I [see celebrities] there, I’ll think, ‘Wow, that’s a great color’ or ‘He’s not wearing the right tie.’ I have a general awareness of celebrity style.

What wouldn’t you be caught dead in? I’ve never been a big fan of red and it doesn’t do anything good for me, anyway. And I’m tall and thin, so there are some things that I should wear and some things that I shouldn’t.

What’s the biggest style faux pas you see? When people are too casual and don’t dress for the event. It amazes me when I see people at really nice restaurants or the theater in very casual clothes, like sandals or flip-flops.

What show that you’ve done had the best-dressed cast? Candide had awesome costumes, mainly because we didn’t have a specific time period—we paired leather pants with a Shakespearean shirt and John Lennon glasses. Everything was a mix of styles and textures—like green fake fur and petticoats—and looked like it could have been from any century.
