How do you see Sarasota? We have a pretty good idea after poring over the submissions in our second annual “Spirit of Sarasota” photography contest. You sent us beautiful beachscapes, tropical-hued buildings, haunting inland swamps, downtown landmarks, delicate flowers and wild creatures. And you sent us people—of every color, age and condition, celebrating, reflecting relating—or just looking really, really cute. The photos came from all over the country (thank you, visitors and snowbirds), although our top three winners happen to be right from right here in Sarasota.
