Born In A Trunk

Growing up backstage is a family tradition at the Golden Apple Dinner Theatre. Just witness associate producer Kyle Turoff, whose 2½-year-old fraternal twins, Avery and Kennedy, spend most days playing, sleeping and eating in the same dressing room where Kyle watched her parents, owners Bob Turoff and Roberta MacDonald, apply their stage make-up when she was a toddler. (Their dad, Trez Cole, the theater’s technical director, is always close by, too.) Soon the boys will be old enough to take a bow out front; Mom made her stage debut here at the age of four in South Pacific. "They both like to sing, and Avery especially loves to move," Kyle reports.
