State Street Eating House has revived such handcrafted classic cocktails as the Pimm’s Cup, French 75, Manhattan and the divine Bramble. Here’s their take on that one.
Muddle 3 blackberries in a rocks glass, add crushed ice, set aside.
In a shaker with ice add:
2 oz. Plymouth gin (or vodka)
1 oz. fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz. heavy simple syrup*
Shake sexily, then strain into glass, add more crushed ice.Top with Creme de Mure and garnish with a blackberry.
(*Heavy simple is 2 parts sugar and 1 part water)
