Shop Talk: Dress for a Good Cause

By Megan McDonald June 14, 2012

Twenty pecent of the proceeds from Juno & Jove's Winged Shirtdress go to Mote's Oil Spill Research and Restoration Fund.

Summer’s officially here, which means shedding those layers while still trying to look chic.  Now here’s a way to do just that for a worthy cause: Juno & Jove is donating 20 percent of the proceeds from its Winged Shirtdress—designed by husband-and-wife team The Podolls—to Mote Marine Laboratory’s Oil Spill Research and Restoration Fund. Shimmy into the soft cotton dress, throw on your favorite sandals or wedges and head out to the beach. And the best part? The vertical stripes, drawstring waistline and button-down collar flatter any figure!

The BP oil spill incident in 2010, along with some smaller spills thereafter, still impacts marine life in the Gulf of Mexico; about $50 from the sale of each dress is given to aid Mote Marine Laboratory’s research and emergency resources.

The Winged Shirtdress is available only at Juno & Jove, in-store and online at www.junoandjove.com.
