Most of us whiz by Dolphin Aviation at 50 mph, but illustrator John Pirman took a closer look at the general aviation facility, which handles everything from small prop planes to snazzy corporate jets. His eye was drawn to the huge bi-fold doors, which are usually open at different heights. "The giant rectangular shapes cut through the sky, making a unique silhouette pointing in one direction—up!" he says.
