Warm Mineral Springs (n.d) Warm Mineral Springs is renowned for its health benefits in the spa-like water, as well as its fossilized human, plant and animal artifacts that date back up to 10,000 years ago, making it a significant resource for archaeologists. The discovery of a human skull by William Royal in the 1970’s forced scholars to re-map early human transport across North America. The springs descend into one of the deepest aquifers in Florida, extending below 7,000 feet. The water is geothermally heated to 97degrees Fahrenheit as it flows from caves at depths of approximately 200 feet. As the water rises, it cools and brings the temperature to 85 degrees, making it just right for soaking! -- Chelsey Lucas
