Another great reason to visit downtown Sarasota’s bustling Bayfront Park-Marina Jack complex: Until May 30, Sarasota Season of Sculpture, the nonprofit biennial bayfront exhibition, presents Shared Ground: Eight Artists–Eighteen Installations. Works by eight renowned artists from around the world—in bronze, steel, stone, clay, concrete and wood—will be on display. It’s always fascinating to watch the hundreds of walkers, joggers, bicyclists and casual visitors to Bayfront Park respond to and interact with the sculptures.

The artists are Heinz Aeschlimann, Hans Van de Bovenkamp, Robert Chambers, Richard Herzog, Linda Howard, Jun Kaneko, Jae-Hyo Lee and Boaz Vaadia.

An accompanying exhibition of the artists’ smaller works will be on exhibit at the Sarasota Herald-Tribune building on Main Street from Jan. 7 through May 14.
