In case you haven’t yet heard the line-up for the 2014 Ringling International Arts Festival (RIAF), just announced by curator of performance Dwight Currie, here’s a peek at the mix of music, theater, dance, and more set for Oct. 15-18 on the grounds of the Ringling Museum campus and neighboring New College of Florida.

The Pedrito Martinez Group, featuring Ariacne Trujillo. Afro-Cuban percussionist Martinez leads a quartet of rumba virtuosi from Cuba, Venezuela and Peru.

Tangram, a production from Berlin created and performed by ballerina Christiana Casadio and circus artist Stefan Sing that blends, dance, circus and physical theater.

Duo Amal. Pianists Bishara Haroni and Yaron Kohlberg (one from Palestine, one from Israel) perform a repertoire ranging from the baroque to the modern period.

Keigwin + Company. Larry Keigwin presents contemporary choreography with a sense of wit, style and heart. Keigwin will also produce/choreograph RIAF’s opening night celebration, Bolero Sarasota, inspired by Ravel’s score and featuring more than 50 local performers in a tribute to Sarasota.

Vijay Iyer Trio. Greenfield Prize winner Iyer and colleagues Marcus Gilmore and Stephan Crump create intricate and interactive new music.

The Table. Great Britain’s Blind Summit Theatre presents a whimsical work of theater featuring puppetry in a display of eye-hand-brain coordination.

The Intergalactic Nemesis, Book One: Target Earth. A live-action graphic novel springs onstage in a mix of radio drama, sound effects, and music for comic-book images.

Some performances (there are 30 in all) take place in the Historic Asolo Theater, some at the Cook, some in the Mertz, and some in the nearby Mildred Sainer Pavilion. There will also be free jazz concerts, museum tours and conversational gatherings during the festival.
