Nature is the muse for the exquisite new lighting line by interior designer Laura Kirar, gracing room vignettes at Sarasota’s Black Bird Home Gallery just as it hit the top decorator showrooms in the country. “I’m restoring an historic hacienda just outside Merida in the Yucatan Peninsula. The dove chandelier ($3,150) was inspired by the birds in my jungle garden there,” Kirar says. The fixture holds 18 mouth-blown glass doves on an undulating horizontal ring hand-crafted of steel with an antique brass finish. “Each dove can be turned, so you can create interesting shadows,” Kirar explains.
