A place for patriots.

Hi patriotplaza dulvih

When the new Patriot Plaza amphitheater at the Sarasota National Cemetery (four miles east of I-75 on S.R. 72) is officially dedicated this month, it will not only celebrate a commitment to honoring veterans and their families, it will herald the first-ever partnership between private philanthropy and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs-National Cemetery Administration. The amphitheater, with covered seating for 2,800, an 80-foot-tall flagpole, and multimillion-dollar commissioned art throughout, involved no taxpayer dollars, and in both that concept and its design, it may provide a model for final resting places to come. The dedication of the 1.83-acre plaza takes place June 28 and is underwritten by The Patterson Foundation; ticket info available June 1 at patriotplaza.thepattersonfoundation.org.
