Sarasota Magazine and Biz941 Win 21 Awards at Florida Magazine Association Annual Conference
Sarasota Magazine and its sister publication Biz(941) recently earned 21 awards at the Florida Magazine Association (FMA) 2014 annual conference, including 10 first-place Charlie Awards. The complete list is below.
“It is exciting to be awarded this many top honors by such a well-respected organization,” said Editorial Director Pam Daniel. “We are pleased to be recognized by our peers for excellence in all aspects of magazine publishing: design, writing, photography and advertising. It speaks to the talents and strengths of our entire staff, writers, artists and photographers.”
Since 1957, FMA's annual Charlie Awards competition has recognized excellence in publishing, writing, editing, photography and design. The Charlie Awards ceremony was held on Friday, August 8, 2014 in conjunction with the FMA Annual Publishing Conference and Expo at The Omni Orlando Resort at Championsgate. This year’s competition included categories in the areas of Printing Excellence, Writing Excellence, Design Excellence and General Excellence.
