If you're into fashion and a fun event, like Pique Nique sur la Baie or Wine, Women & Shoes, then it's likely you've seen one of the well-curated runway shows by Joni Bergs. No surprise that she excels at gaining the attention of an audience with her eye for styling, since she spent nearly 30 years walking the catwalk as a model herself.
That, along with her years as a fashion coordinator and fashion photo shoot coordinator, led her naturally to the luxury line of Worth New York. If you haven't heard of this brand, it's absolutely worth a look. It's chic and on trend with a classically modern edge. What's more, the fabrics are ultra luxe. If you're interested in having a peek, here's Joni to tell you more about this season's line and how to pop by her trunk show next week.
For those new to Worth New York, what should they know about the luxe line?
Worth New York is modern, luxurious and alluring. It's a home trunk show line that offers incredible fabrics from European mills shopped by all the top designers--yet you do not pay designer prices for our clothing. We design a collection each season that offers everything from casual-chic daytime pieces to elegant eveningwear. It suits every woman’s lifestyle.
How does the stylish femme get invited to the trunk show?
Call for an appointment at (941) 388-3824 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Do it soon--my spring show is February 4-10.
Give us a sense of what’s on trend for spring….
As always, black and white. But instead of wearing as one complete color look, we love it mixed. Example: Our color block top and color block pant. What a “wow!” look.
And what should we tuck to the back of the closet from fall?
Any jackets or sweaters that are too heavy. They will feel new when you pull them out again next fall.
What’s the one standout piece from Worth this season?
Too tough a question! I would have to choose our leather and suede pieces as a category. On the simple and streamlined side, the hopsack suede tee is amazing, and the platinum leather dress is absolutely gorgeous. And the petal suede applique short jacket [below] is so fluttery and femme.
There’s also a chic accessories line--what’s the must-have piece and how would you style it?
The leather loop belt because it is as perfect with a pant as it is wearing over a sweater or jacket. It’s our modern take on wrapping a tie around the waist of a trouser.
