Agencies Hosting Summit on Opioids and Pregnancy Sept. 13 and 14

The summit is focused on the topic of pregnant women addicted to opioids and newborns born with neonatal abstinence syndrome.

A number of nonprofits and agencies are together hosting a summit on the topic of pregnant women addicted to opioids and newborns born with neonatal abstinence syndrome in mid-September. Health care professionals and representatives from nonprofits, treatment providers, law enforcement, the legal world and more are encouraged to attend. The summit runs 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13, and 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, at Keiser University, 6151 Lake Osprey Drive, Sarasota. Registration is $25.
