The Healthy Sarasota County Worksite program, administered through the Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County, designates employers that are carrying out health promotion actions endorsed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention proven to improve the health and well-being of their employees. A major component of these health promotion actions is tobacco control. Currently, 21 worksites in Sarasota County have been awarded the Healthy Sarasota County Worksite designation, many of which also have tobacco free worksite policies, proven to benefit both employees and employers.

Through the Healthy Sarasota County Worksite Initiative, no-cost wellness consultations and resources are provided to employers. More information and an application can be found here.
