Love it or hate it, people flock to the Unconditional Surrender statue in downtown Sarasota.
The iconic statue Unconditional Surrender is always a tourist attraction here in our arts-driven town. The statue continues to stand tall after the it had to be repaired in 2012, when an automobile struck and damaged it, and many tourists flock to Bayfront Park each year to take a souvenir photo with the nurse and soldier.
