Babylonstoren Wine Dinner
October 19

Chef Rolando Casillas of Café L’Europe presents a five-course wine dinner this evening. The dinner features favorites including watermelon scallop ceviche, airline chicken breasts and short rib osso bucco, plus a sweet treat to end the night. Five different wines will be served to complement the dinner. Reservations are required.   

Gigi’s Cupcakes Boo Box

Get into the Halloween spirit with Gigi’s Cupcakes' Boo Box. These 12 mini-cupcakes are decorated as monsters, worms in dirt, pumpkins and ghosts. The flavors range from classic yellow and white cake to devil’s food cake, all topped with buttercream frosting and festive decorations. Wagyu & Wine

The Capital Grille hosts its signature fall event, where guests have the opportunity to experience delicious burger and wine pairings. The gourmet burgers include a selection between three different types of Wagyu burgers and toppings as well as your choice of one of two wines. $25

Eat Local Week

October 22-30

To celebrate the best of local food and farming in Sarasota and Manatee county, Transition Sarasota presents the sixth annual Eat Local Week. This year’s theme is “Food Changes Everything,” which explores that discusses the relationships between food and diverse topics such as the natural environment, art and culture, social justice, the economy and more. Dozens of partners offer numerous events including farm-to-fork dinners, educational programs, community discussions garden and farm tours, workshops, festivals and more.

Sip the Sunshine All Florida Craft Beer Festival
October 29
12-9 p.m.

Suncoast Festivals presents its newest event, Sip the Sunshine All-Florida Craft Beer Festival, at Nathan Benderson Park. This event showcases the products of 50 Florida craft breweries and more than 100 different types of beer. Florida-inspired cuisine will be available from local chefs and caterers; there's also a VIP experience that includes a five-course beer pairing luncheon. Blues Traveler, Have Gun Will Travel and Heavy Pets will be performing, too. Admission is $45 and VIP is $125

Oktoberfest 2016 at Mozaic
October 21-23; 28-30

Celebrate Oktoberfest at Mozaic, where there will be spread of German beers and food. All German and Oktoberfest beers are $4 and a Bavarian charcuterie and cheese Board is featured on the menu; it includes a variety of German cheeses and bratwursts. Marc De Grazia Wine Pairing Dinner

Don’t miss out as Mattison’s Forty-One welcomes Marc De Grazia wine selections for its October wine pairing dinner. In addition to hors d’oeuvres, there will be a five course meal including five expertly paired wines to complement each course. Tickets are $85. 7275 S Tamiami Trail, Sarasota.

Wines of The World Dinner

Social Eatery & Bar will host a Wines of the World dinner. Wines from around the globe are featured alongside custom dishes. There will be a champagne welcome reception followed by a three-course dinner and dessert, plus hand-selected exotic wines. Tickets are $75. 1219 First St., Sarasota
