Actor Mark Ruffalo, who's in town to speak at Ringling College of Art and Design's graduation ceremony today, will also screen his new film Dear President Obama, The Clean Energy Revolution is Now for the public tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Burns Court Cinemas.

Now an ardent environmentalist, Ruffalo—known for his roles in Spotlight, You Can Count on Me and The Avengers—said in a talk at The Francis last night that it wasn’t until he actually lived in upstate New York, in an area affected by fracking, that he understood the seriousness of the issue and the impacts it has on communities. He says he’s grateful that he’s been able to use his prominence as a celebrity to draw attention to the issue.

During the talk, Ruffalo also spoke about his background growing up in Kenosha, Wisconsin, his thoughts on creativity and the arts and his wishlist of actors to work with. “The O’s,” he said with a laugh. “Pacino, DeNiro, del Toro…”
