Attorney Kevin Sanderson of the Osprey firm Merritt & Sanderson, P.A., recently set a legal precedent by establishing the right for federal employees who experience employment disability discrimination to sue after receiving worker’s compensation. Before the new ruling, issued by the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, based in Atlanta, federal employees who received worker's compensation could not file disability discrimination claims. The judgment overruled the original finding by the Middle District of Florida federal court.
