It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to get together, but we’re happy to announce that Sarasota Magazine is once again holding its Women of Influence event on Monday, Nov. 15, from 4-6:30 p.m. at Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe, 1012 N. Orange Ave., Sarasota.

This is our 11th Women of Influence event, and each occasion has been a powerful way to meet and connect with talented women in the community. The afternoon starts with cocktails and conversation, and then we’ll hear from women who are having a huge impact locally and beyond. Find out what inspires them and how they make things happen in our panel discussion “Three Local Women Who Are Changing Our World.”

The panelists are Fiona Crawford, Ph.D., president and CEO, Roskamp Institute, and a member of the team that identified the first genetic causes of Alzheimer’s Disease; author, scientist and arbornaut Meg Lowman, Ph.D., a National Geographic Explorer named the “Einstein of the treetops” by The Wall Street Journal; and Elizabeth Moore, an ardent land and nature conservationist, who is working to educate and save our natural ecosystems here and internationally.

Tickets are $25. To purchase, click here. Face masks will be required in the performance area at all times and where posted. Face masks may be removed when eating and drinking only in designated areas.
