Control Growth Now, a nonpartisan civic organization, will host its annual potluck on picnic on Saturday, Nov. 13, at Colonial Oaks Park. The organization will provide hamburger, hot dogs and veggie burgers as well as soft drinks and water; attendees may bring a side dish or dessert to share.

After the picnic, the group will hold a brief annual meeting and present its 2021 Citizen of the Year award to activist Becky Ayech, who for decades has been battling government and developers over zoning issues, pollution and the need to protect the Old Miakka watershed. To register, click here.
