Sarasota Lawyer Named Lead Broadcast Commentator for Cambridge Rowing Regatta

David L. Wyant Jr. will be a lead broadcast commentator for the Head of the Charles Regatta in Cambridge, Mass.

Shumaker partner David L. Wyant Jr. was recently named a lead broadcast commentator for the Head of the Charles Regatta (HOCR) to be held in Cambridge, Mass., from Oct. 22-24. Established in 1965, HOCR is a fall tradition, with the banks and bridges over the Charles River lined with thousands of spectators all weekend. As the world’s largest rowing regatta, the event regularly fields more than 11,000 athletes from around the globe. Since 2012, Wyant has been the rowing voice of Nathan Benderson Park, announcing several events: the 2017 World Rowing Championships, the 2019 World Rowing Under-23 Championships, the 2016 and 2020 United States Rowing Olympic Trials, 2018 and 2021 NCAA Rowing Championships, 2021 U.S. Rowing Indoor National Championships/C.R.A.S.H.-B.
