Have you made a New Year's resolution to find a new spot to hang out at and vibe to a couple records? Check that resolution off your list by hitting up Milo B. Fresh’s Wax Wednesdays, described by DJ Milo Minderbender as "a weekly listening party" that will kick off at The Mable Bar & Grill at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 5, and continue at the bar on following Wednesdays.

Minderbender will be providing sounds based on his collection of records, which spans eras and genres of music such as rap, rock, pop, jazz and heavy metal, among others. He says he hopes that the events bring people together during an often-chaotic era.

Fresh Pooch, Minderbender's company, will use all proceeds from the event to raise money for various causes, including criminal justice reform, dismantling patriarchy and environmental sustainability.

"I’m hoping to deliver an experience where people will enjoy the music and feel comfortable enough so that, no matter what record is played, they will react and say, 'Wow, what is that?'" says Minderbender. “I want to expose people to new artists and sounds with an environment where people feel good vibing with their friends.”
