Erin Minor, Chief Executive Officer

For two decades, Erin Minor has been a silent force for change, dedicating herself to serving the most vulnerable in our society. Her journey, marked by personal struggles, has fueled her passion to make a difference in the lives of others.

Having experienced sexual trauma as a child, Erin intimately understands the effects of trauma— depression, anxiety, hypervigilance—and channels this empathy into her work. In 2010, she reimagined Harvest House, a small legacy nonprofit, into one of the region’s leaders in supportive and affordable housing, addiction recovery, and food security.

At the heart of Erin’s ethos lies a belief in embracing one’s identity and history. She sees her own story as a continuum of resilience, acknowledging the sacrifices and struggles of previous generations while charting a course towards a more inclusive and compassionate future.

“I know we can’t save the world,” says Erin. “My goal is to simply do good in every interaction with people and with every action I take. If I do that, I will be satisfied with a life well lived, and maybe make the world a better place for some in the process.”

About Harvest House

Harvest House is poised to embark on its next chapter of impact with the launch of Lakeview Village. Aimed at providing affordable housing for families earning 60 percent to 100 percent of the area median income, Lakeview Village will be a lifeline for families struggling to find stable housing in an increasingly unaffordable land- scape.

  • In 1992, Harvest House started with 6 beds for men in recovery from substance abuse. Since 2010, under Erin’s leadership, we have grown from 2 to 10 campuses and from 100 to 380+ beds and has had multimillion-dollar increases in revenue and physical asset values to support program expansion.

  • Harvest House serves individuals through programs for families and young adults at risk of homelessness, adults with a history of substance abuse resulting in incarceration, and households facing food insecurity. The Harvest Food Pantry distributes food to 250+ households every Thursday.

  • Contact Harvest House to schedule a tour of our Sarasota campuses to learn more about how the organization combats homelessness and addiction in our community as it works to ensure that clients get a real chance to thrive.
