We're always excited for a meal that comes with a side of water views. Next month, we'll be able to add another new waterfront restaurant to our list of options. No official date has yet been set, but Whiskey Joe's Bar & Grill will open a new location in Ellenton along the Manatee River in mid-March.

Work on the restaurant began last September. The restaurant will be the Florida chain's fourth location, following eateries in Tampa, Port Richey and Miami. The vibe is "Floribbean," with plenty of raw options, grilled items, burgers and tacos, plus a cocktail menu stocked with brightly colored, beach-friendly drinks. The Ellenton restaurant will offer fire pits, a tiki bar and even a sandy beach.
