Here are some fun ways to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in the Sarasota area.

Enjoy special food and drinks at all Mattison's locations until Wednesday, March 17. Try the in-house brined Niman Ranch corned beef and cabbage, with braised potatoes and carrots, and house-made Dijon butter sauce. Other specials, including a corned beef Reuben, will be available in addition to the regular menu. At the Riverwalk and City Grille locations, try the Friskey Whiskey, made with Jameson, or the Shamrock Juice, a mix of vodka, gin, rum and tequila with a dash of blue curaçao and orange juice. Each plate costs $28.95.

This Ellenton riverfront bar and grill will have you feeling lucky with Jameson Irish Whiskey and green beer specials, along with a traditional Irish menu of shepherd's pie, corned beef & cabbage and Irish cream cheesecake. Enjoy live music by band Whiskey Dregs with their Celtic rock and drum sounds. Music will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the Woody's stage. Admission is free.

St. Patrick's Day at Snook Haven Restaurant

This Old Florida restaurant in Venice will be offering an Irish-inspired food and drink menu while you rock out to live music by the Kudzu Stompers from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The restaurant's regular food and drink menu will be available during regular hours, 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

St. Patrick's Day Festival at McGrath's Irish Ale House

McGrath's Irish Ale House on Lakewood Ranch Main Street will be closing down the road to have a festival with local vendors and small businesses, live music from Irish bands and food and drink. Drink specials will include $5 Jameson and Guinness pours and $6 Car Bombs. The festival will take place from 1 to 9 p.m. Admission is free.

This will be the 14th year of St. Patrick's celebrations at this fun Sarasota bar. This year, enjoy pints in the pub and live Irish music and entertainment outside. Performers include Andy Thomas, Blue Skye Pipe & Drums, Wandering Hours and bagpipers and Irish dancers. Celebrate St. Patrick's Day on two separate occasions at Irish 31. Enjoy live music from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, from the band Steve Sipes. Then, from 2 to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, listen to performances by Saint Tone and from 6 to 9:30 p.m. check out Frederick Miller. Traditional Irish meals like corned beef, cabbage and Mulligan stew will be served.

Duffy's Sports Grill is offering a special Ireland-inspired menu through April 5. Enjoy meals like loaded potato soup, Irish potato skins, a Reuben burger with corned beef, sauerkraut and Swiss cheese and shamrock pie. Featured drinks include the "Dublin Drop," the "Jameson Black Barrel Old Fashioned," and "Lucky Duffy," a custom drink with ginger beer, whiskey and lemonade. Drinks start at $7.
