Asolo Rep: Hair

Siesta Key Crystal Classic

The international sand sculpting festival that draws thousands to our shores is back! After last year’s cancellation due to Covid-19, the Siesta Key Chamber once again presents the fest where sculptors create masterpieces in just 24 hours across four days. Sarasota MOD Weekend

Celebrate the life and work of Philip Hanson Hiss, whose impact on the architecture and design of our public schools, unique homes on Lido Shores, and the inception of New College is the focus of this year's MOD event, presented by Architecture Sarasota. Florida Countryfest

This second annual event, at J.D. Hamel Park on Bayfront Drive in Sarasota, offers three days of live country music, from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Hermitage at The Bay

This program, a presentation of the Hermitage Artist Retreat and The Bay Park, is actually set for 5 p.m. next Thursday, but it’s best to plan a little ahead. Two Hermitage Fellows, composer Jared Miller and visual artist Iva Gueorguieva, will share their latest work in “Sound and Color,” at 5 p.m. at The Bay’s Civic Green, 801 N.
