Screaming Goat Taqueria is setting its sights on a second restaurant location at The Shops at Casey Key in Osprey, with an opening date slated for early 2024.

“I see a lot of opportunity in Osprey," says Screaming Goat chef and co-owner Malin Parker. "I see a great population of people who come to our Gulf Gate location from down there. We want to be part of that community." 

The Osprey spot will feature the same menu as the Gulf Gate restaurant, which opened in 2018 with items like tacos, burritos and bowls that appeal to meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans alike.

“I’ve always wanted to do things for vegans and vegetarians so they can feel taken care of, as well," says Parker. "As a result, we have gathered a following of vegans and vegetarians.”

Protein substitutes like curried sweet potato, masa-dusted cauliflower and vegan chorizo are just a few examples of Screaming Goat’s diet-inclusive menu items. Meanwhile, beef barbacoa, pollo asado and cochinita pibil are some of the delicious offerings available for omnivores.

Parker draws inspiration from his days working in Dallas, Texas, where he fell in love with Latin cuisine and ingredients.

“I thought the food we were making for family meals was better than anything we were serving in the high-end restaurants [I worked in]," he says. "I got really interested in Latin ingredients and how you could fuse them with other flavors from around the world. I’m extremely proud of our food and what we have to offer.”
