The Beach House Waterfront Restaurant, on Anna Maria Island, is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a '90s-inspired throwback menu which includes a $19.93 lunch and $45 dinner prix fixe with options like seafood scampi, crab cakes and blueberry cobbler. The menu offerings will be available to visitors throughout the end of 2023.

The restaurant, which opened in 1993, has evolved throughout the years with two significant facelifts and a new commitment to sustainability, the latter of which is a top priority of Ed Chiles, the restaurant's owner and founder of Chiles Hospitality.

Chiles has worked closely on several environmental initiatives, including the United Nations World Tourism Organization. He is also the founder of Solutions to Avoid Red Tide and All Clams on Deck, which encourages the use of clams to filter the surrounding waters by removing harmful nutrients and algae responsible for Red Tide.

He has also carried this environmental work through to Gamble Creek Farms, which is also owned by Chiles Hospitality. The group’s restaurants provide the farm with ample composting and oyster shell recycling and in return receive local, organic produce to serve to their guests.

“By sourcing directly from our farm and our in-house bakery, we’ve been able to provide the restaurant with organic and seasonal herbs, produce, fruits and baked goods that help us keep the menu fresh and exciting,” says Chiles in a press release.

Chiles purchased the first of three restaurants under the Chiles Hospitality umbrella, Sandbar Seafood & Spirits, in 1979. He then acquired Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant & Pub in 1990 before opening the Beach House in 1993. Chiles Hospitality began leasing Gamble Creek Farms in 2013 and purchased it in 2021.

The Beach House Waterfront Restaurant is open seven days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. at 200 Gulf Drive N., Bradenton Beach. For more information call (941) 779-2222 or click here.
