On Saturday, Sept. 12, Meals on Wheels Plus of Manatee, through The Food Bank of Manatee, will partner with the Bradenton Kiwanis to provide food for families in need due to the far-reaching impacts of Covid-19. This food distribution marks the second in partnership with Bradenton Kiwanis, and the 27th Food4Families distribution Meals on Wheels Plus of Manatee has made since March.

The event will take place at Renaissance on 9th/Bradenton Dream Center, located at 1816 9th St. W. in Bradenton, from 9:30 a.m.-noon. In observance of social-distancing guidelines, the drive-through distributions are designed for limited-contact. Food4Families bags contain breakfast, lunch, and dinner to feed a family of five for two or more days. The food is provided free of charge; Meals on Wheels Plus says it will continue to host distribution events through the fall.
