An affiliate of Latitude 27 Properties (latitude27properties.com), owned by local developer Howard Davis, has purchased the longtime home of Badcock Furniture at 1570 Boulevard of the Arts, Sarasota. The 20,000-square-foot building was purchased for $715,000; Kevin Robbins of Robbins Commercial Realty represented the buyer. The new owner plans a top-to-bottom renovation that will preserve the building’s iconic design features. The space then will be leased to tenants in creative industries.

 


The Best Western hotel at 648 E. 67th St. Circle in Bradenton has been purchased for $4 million by Alpeshkumar Patel and Babubhai Patel. It was sold by Liberty Group (libertygrouphotels.com), the Tampa-based hotel investment, development and management that purchased the property in 2011.

 


 

Victoria Blooms (victoriabloomssrq.com) has leased 2,400 square feet of office and warehouse space at 6226 Clarity Court, Sarasota, from Pallet Dude. Jeff Button of Richardson Kleiber Walter Kleiber Button, Inc. handled the transaction.

 


 

 

The terrazzo restoration company Safe Dry (safedry.com) has leased a 2,300-square-foot building at 2300 S. Dock St., Unit 105, in Palmetto. The transaction was handled by Scott Rimmer of the Sperry Van Ness Commercial Advisory Group.

 


Edward D. Jones & Company (edwardjones.com) has leased a 1,100-square-foot Sarasota office space at 5250 17th St., #108, for a financial services office. The transaction was handled by Tony Veldkamp of the Sperry Van Ness Commercial Advisory Group.

 


Comprehensive MedPsych Systems (medpsych.net) has leased a 2,217-square-foot-office space at 871 Venetia Bay Blvd., Ste. 310, in Venice. The tenant was represented by Greg Sheller with ReMax Alliance Group. The landlord was represented by Brad Lindberg of the Sperry Van Ness Commercial Advisory Group.

 


Homework Check-In (karenveon.wix.com/hcisarasota) has leased a 2,336-square-foot office and retail space at 6003 Honore Ave., #106, in Sarasota. The tenant was represented by Adam Seidel with American Property Group. The landlord was represented by Linda Emery of the Sperry Van Ness Commercial Advisory Group.
