The brand-new golf course that debuted in mid-May at Taylor Morrison’s Esplanade Azario Lakewood Ranch community will be open to the public for play for a limited time with special introductory prices, the developers have announced. Social distancing protocols using guidance from the USGA and CDC will be in place.

Designed by golf course architect Chris Wilczynski, the 18-hole course will ultimately be for Azario Lakewood Ranch residents only. “Wilczynski’s signature touch of building within mature trees is visible throughout, elevating the beauty and memorability of the course,” a Taylor Morrison spokesman wrote in a press release announcing the opening. It is managed by Pope Golf. To schedule a tee time, call (941) 253-2901.

Taylor Morrison announced Azario at Lakewood Ranch last summer. It consists of two separate communities with an eventual 1,750 residences at build-out, located on approximately 1,000 acres off State Road 64 on Lorraine Road in east Manatee County. New homes are currently for sale.

Esplanade at Azario Lakewood Ranch is another of Taylor Morrison’s Esplanade resort lifestyle neighborhoods, with the (ultimately) private 18-hole golf course, wellness and culinary centers, resort-style pool, Bahama Bar, and more. Like Taylor Morrison’s other area Esplanade communities, a full-time “lifestyle manager” will be on-site to plan parties and special events for residents. And Park East at Azario will be a single-family home neighborhood with dedicated planned amenities.
