St. Armands Circle will welcome back a reimagined Sarasota favorite on April 27. 15 South is returning to the circle—but this time, it's being run by the owners of Napulé, one of Sarasota's top Italian restaurants, which is located in south Sarasota.

The grand opening celebration at 15 South by Napulé will take place on April 27 from 6-8 p.m. It's open to the public and will include appetizers, a complimentary glass of wine or beer and, of course, pizza.

“We want everyone who comes to 15 South by Napulé to have a good time! We'll eat, we'll drink and catch a great sunset from the balcony,” says owner Alessandro di Ferdinando.

Longtime Sarasota residents will remember the days of the first 15 South (then under different ownership), when people of all ages would flock to the space for late-night drinking and dancing. Di Ferdinando promises to keep that spirit alive at his reinvention of the restaurant.

"I want everyone to eat, dance and love," he says. "We will have live music very soon for dancing.”

Guests can anticipate a dining experience that reflects Napulé's high standards, with a wood-burning pizza oven as the restaurant's centerpiece. Di Ferdinando has also welcomed two skilled chefs to lead the culinary team: Giancarlo Di Cosmo, who specializes in making fresh pasta, and Antonio Mancini, a well-known local pizza whiz who launched Atmosphere Pizza and has worked with di Ferdinando in the past. Di Ferdinando calls them both "masters of flavor."

15 South by Napulé will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner beginning at 11 a.m. The restaurant is located at 15 S. Boulevard of the Presidents, Sarasota. For more information, click here.
